Varicose treatment

Varicose treatmentWe treat varicose veins at Clinique Médicale des 2 Tours by injecting a treating solution. This method is called Sclerotherapy.

A WORD ABOUT THE ILLNESS AND THE SCLEROTHERAPY TREATMENT

Varicose veins are permanently dilated veins with defective valves preventing the normal venous return to the heart

Varicose veins create an abnormal reflux of blood to the lower limbs and painful venous congestion visible on the skin.

Sclerotherapy involves the injection of a solution within the diseased vein. This injection will produce an irritant reaction in the vein wall which will thicken, harden and ultimately prevent the blood of using this path.

The blood will be naturally diverted to other healthy veins and varicose veins will eventually disappear.
